57-7015 is a gearbox plug used on the unit-construction Triumph twins, showing up in the parts books under the gearbox inner cover and selectors listing as well as the timing cover and contact breaker figure. One of those parts that's easy to overlook until it's missing or damaged, at which point you get seepage or dirt working its way into places you don't want it. Worth keeping one on hand since it's small and cheap to replace compared to the mess if it goes missing during a rebuild.
Catalog records show this plug appearing across gearbox and timing cover listings from the mid-to-late '70s. If you're not sure which opening yours goes in, give us a call with your parts book page open and we'll sort it out.
