Gearchange spindle bush
Bush for the gearchange spindle on unit Triumph gearboxes, fitted at the inner and outer cover.
The 57-7008 is the bush that the gearchange spindle rides in on unit-construction Triumph gearboxes. It shows up in the parts book under the gearbox inner cover and selectors section and again under the outer cover, since the spindle passes through both as it carries motion from the gear lever down into the selector mechanism.

Over time this bush wears from the spindle turning in it every time you shift, and once it gets sloppy you'll start to feel play or vagueness in the lever before the gearbox itself is even worn. It's a small, inexpensive part to replace compared to sorting out a gearbox with a worn spindle bore, so it's worth checking if your shifting feels loose.
Our catalog references for this one run from the mid-to-late 1970s across a handful of listings. If you're not sure whether your inner or outer cover takes this exact bush, bring in your old one or give us a call before ordering.
