SPIDER/SPROCKET ASSY.
Clutch spider/sprocket assembly for the primary drive, cushions shock loads between the primary chain and clutch hub.
The spider/sprocket assembly, part number 57-4621 (also listed under the earlier T4621 designation), is a clutch shock-absorber component that shows up in the primary transmission and oil pump drive figures as well as the clutch shock-absorber figure. It ties the clutch sprocket to the shock-absorber assembly, letting the drive from the engine reach the clutch hub while cushioning the sudden loads that come through the primary chain.

This is the kind of part you don't think about until it's worn or cracked, at which point you'll notice play or clunking in the drivetrain when you get on and off the throttle. Because it sits between the primary chain and the clutch itself, it takes a lot of the shock loading in that whole assembly.
Our catalog record ties this one to appearances between 1973 and 1974, but we'd rather you confirm fitment against your own machine before ordering rather than assume from that span alone. Bring in your old part or give us a call and we'll sort out what you've actually got.
