Inspection cover gasket
Gasket for the primary chaincase inspection cover, sealing it against oil leaks.
This is a gasket that seals the inspection cover on the primary chaincase. It shows up in the parts book under the INNER AND OUTER CHAINCASE figure, so it's part of the assembly that keeps the primary chain and clutch running in an oil bath, sealed off from the outside. The inspection cover itself is what you pop off to check chain tension or adjust things without splitting the whole chaincase, and this gasket is what keeps that cover from leaking or weeping oil once it's bolted back down.

The part carries the older T3955 number in earlier literature, same physical piece just under the legacy prefix format. Our catalog record only ties it to a single appearance from 1969, so we don't have a broader model-year spread on file for it.
Gaskets like this one are cheap enough to replace on principle any time the cover comes off, since they don't reuse well once compressed and cut. If you're not sure this is the exact cover gasket your chaincase uses, give us a call and we'll confirm before you order.
We've never carried this one. Tell us what you're after and we'll go looking — you'll get a price and photos before you commit to anything.
