This is a fiber clutch plate for the 4-spring clutch used on the unit-construction BSA and Triumph single-cylinder models. It's one of the friction plates that stack up inside the clutch, alternating with the plain steel plates, to transmit engine power to the gearbox through friction rather than a solid connection.
