Mainshaft selector fork
Mainshaft selector fork for the gearbox inner cover and selector assembly, also known by its older T2608 number.
This is the mainshaft selector fork out of the gearbox, the piece that rides in its groove on the sliding gear and shoves it along the shaft when you work the gearchange. It lives inside the gearbox inner cover assembly, where the selector mechanism does its work moving gears in and out of engagement. The catalog also carries this one under the older T2608 designation, which is the same physical part under its pre-decimal number.

Our records show this fork showing up in the gearbox inner cover and selector figures across catalog listings running 1965 to 1968. If you're rebuilding a gearbox and the shift action feels sloppy or gears are jumping out, a worn or bent selector fork is a common culprit worth checking alongside the other selector components.
As with most selector forks, fit and wear pattern matter more than looks - check the fork for wear at the contact faces where it rides against the sliding gear before you put the box back together. Give the shop a call if you want us to confirm this is the right fork for your particular gearbox before ordering.
