This is a countershaft sprocket for the 500cc unit-construction Triumph twin, cut with 18 teeth. It mounts on the gearbox output shaft and is what the final drive chain rides on before it runs back to the rear wheel sprocket. The tooth count is part of your overall gearing, so swapping to an 18T from whatever is currently fitted will change how the bike pulls and how relaxed it feels at speed.
