Camplate spindle
The pivot shaft the gearbox camplate turns on, found in the gearbox inner cover assembly.
The camplate spindle, part number 57-1418, is the shaft the gearbox camplate pivots on inside the gearbox inner cover. You'll find it listed in the parts book under GEARBOX SHAFTS, BEARINGS AND INNER COVER, and it also goes by the old letter-prefix number T1418 if you're working from an earlier book.

The camplate itself is what the selector mechanism rides against to move the gearbox into each gear, and this spindle is what lets it rotate. It's a small, unglamorous part but the gearbox doesn't shift right without it seated and turning properly.
Our catalog record shows this part appearing across a run of years, so it's been a long-lived design, but we're not going to pin an exact model or year fitment here beyond what's in the gearbox internals figure. If you're rebuilding a box, pull the old one and compare before you order.
