Rebound rubber (small)
Small rebound rubber for the clutch assembly, part number 57-1318 (formerly T1318).
57-1318 is a rebound rubber, the small version, listed in the clutch and chains section for the primary drive. Its older book number was T1318, if that's what you've got written down from an earlier parts list. These rubbers sit in the clutch assembly and cushion the shock of engagement, taking up the snap that would otherwise go straight into the drive train and the rider's hand on the lever.

The catalog record ties this one to appearances in 1963 and 1964, but that's just where it shows up in our listings, not a complete fitment picture. If you're not sure this is the right small rebound rubber for the clutch you're rebuilding, give us a call and we'll confirm before you order.
Because it's a small rubber part inside the clutch, it's the kind of thing that's easy to overlook when you're chasing clutch drag or slip, but a perished or collapsed one can cause noise and rough engagement even if the plates and springs are fine.
