BOLT - KNEE PAD PLATE BOLT/ GBOX LEVEL PLUG
A small dual-purpose bolt used as a gearbox oil level check plug or as a knee pad plate mounting bolt on unit Triumph twins.
This is one of those parts that pulls double duty depending on what job you hand it. As shown in the catalog, 57-0361 is a small bolt that shows up in two different roles: on the gearbox side it works as an oil level check plug, and on the tank side it's used to hold the knee pad plates onto the petrol tank. The legacy books list this same part as T361 before the numeric system took over.

On the gearbox it threads into the case where it lets you check that the oil is up to the correct level, and doubling as a drain point when you pull it. On the tank side it's a mounting bolt for those chrome or painted knee pad plates riders bolt to the sides of the tank.
The catalog data on this one spans mid-to-late 1960s unit-construction Triumph twins. Given it fills two different jobs in two different areas, it's worth double-checking your parts book or bringing your old bolt in so we can match it up before you order.
