The 57-0244 is a kickstarter axle, the shaft the kickstart lever mounts to and pivots on as it swings through its arc to turn over the gearbox and engine. It lives with the gearbox outer cover, where the kickstart mechanism is housed and where the lever passes through to the outside of the case.
