Lucar connector

A Lucas-type Lucar spade connector used throughout British bike wiring harnesses at the coils, headlamp switches, horn, and rectifier.

PN · 54942078

This is a Lucar connector, the flat spade-type electrical terminal that Lucas used all through the British bike wiring harness. You'll find it wherever a bullet or blade connection needs to be made up quick and pulled apart again for service - on the timing cover and contact breaker wiring, in the headlamp nacelle behind the switches, at the ignition coils, and around the horn and rectifier/zener diode setup. It shows up across a wide run of catalog figures because it's one of those small parts that gets used in a dozen places on the same bike.

Going by the catalog appearances, this one turns up in wiring for the smaller unit twins as well as the bigger machines, wherever Lucas electrics were fitted, spanning from the early '60s into the mid '70s. If you're chasing down a bad connection or rebuilding a harness section, this is the terminal you crimp onto the wire end and push onto the spade tab.

We don't have more detail on this one beyond what the parts books show, so if you're trying to match an exact harness section, bring in your old connector or check the wiring diagram for your bike before ordering.
