Pilot bulbholder (99-1213)
Lucas bulb holder for the pilot light in the headlamp and for instrument illumination bulbs.
This is the small Lucas bulb holder that carries the pilot or instrument bulb inside the headlamp shell, or behind the speedo and tach faces, on Triumphs running Lucas electrics through the late '60s and into the '70s. It shows up across a long run of headlamp and instrument-panel figures in the parts books, which tells you it's a common item shared between the headlamp assembly and the gauges rather than something unique to one location.

The holder is a simple single-lead unit with a bullet connector on the end, meant to hold a small bayonet-base bulb and feed it a wire off the harness. It supersedes an earlier factory number, 554710, so if your parts book lists that older number instead, you're looking at the same physical piece.
These get brittle or the contact tarnishes over time, which shows up as a flickering or dead pilot light or dim instrument illumination. Given how many figures this part turns up in across our records, it's worth having one on hand if you're chasing an intermittent light on the headlamp or dash.
