Earth blade, rectifier (99-4159)
The earth (ground) blade for a Lucas rectifier, part of the charging system's grounding path.
This is the earth blade for a Lucas rectifier, the small metal tab that grounds the rectifier body to the frame or bracket it's mounted on. It shows up in the ignition coils, horn, and rectifier/zener diode figure, so it lives in the charging and electrical side of the bike rather than anywhere mechanical.

The rectifier converts the AC output from the alternator into DC to charge the battery, and it needs a solid ground path to work correctly. This blade is that ground connection - lose it or let it corrode and the rectifier can act up even if the rest of the charging circuit is fine.
Our catalog only shows this part turning up once, tied to 1974, so we don't have much more to go on beyond that. If you're chasing a charging fault, check this blade and its connection before you start swapping bigger parts.
Sorry if we got something wrong here. If you think this information isn't correct, .
