Norton Stator
A stator for the primary-side alternator, the stationary winding that works with the rotor to charge the battery and run the electrics.
47205A is a stator, the stationary winding half of the alternator that sits inside the primary chaincase. It works alongside the rotor to generate the electrical current the bike needs to keep the battery charged and the lights and ignition running.

This one shows up in the parts books under the chaincase, chains, sprockets, clutch, and alternator figures, which tells us it's part of that primary-drive assembly rather than a separate bolt-on unit. The catalog record we have on it is thin beyond that, so we can't speak to specific model-year fitment from what's in front of us.
If you're replacing a stator, it's worth checking your existing part against this one before ordering, since alternator stators can vary in mounting and winding spec even within similar-looking primary cases. Give us a call and we'll help confirm fitment before you buy.
