This is the small nut used on the magneto pickup lead, the wire connection point on the magneto side of the ignition system. It's a minor hardware item, but it's the kind of part that's easy to lose track of when you've got the magneto apart on the bench, and having a spare on hand means you're not stuck waiting to finish a job over a single fastener.
