BSA Bush, mainshaft top gear
Mainshaft top gear bush from the gearbox cluster, part number 41-3045.
This is the mainshaft top gear bush, a small bearing-surface bushing that lives inside the gearbox on the mainshaft where the top gear rides. It shows up in the parts book under the GEAR CLUSTER figure, which tells us it's part of the gear cluster assembly rather than a standalone shaft or shell part.

A bush like this one gives the top gear a proper running surface against the mainshaft, keeping wear to a minimum and the gear turning true. If you're rebuilding a gearbox and finding play or wear on that shaft, this is the kind of small part that quietly does its job for years and then needs replacing.
