EX.VALVE B44 BSA 1967-70 (Square Barrel)
Exhaust valve for the BSA B44 square-barrel engine, 1967-70.
This is an exhaust valve for the BSA B44, the square-barrel version built in the 1967-70 range. It is not a Triumph part despite how it's filed in our system - the catalog description is plain about it being a BSA piece, and the numbering in other references ties it to the 441 engine family from that era.

The exhaust valve sits in the cylinder head and opens to let spent gases out of the combustion chamber on the exhaust stroke, then seats back down to seal the chamber for the next cycle. On an engine like this, valve condition and seat contact matter a lot for compression and running temperature, so it's worth having a machinist check the seat and guides when you're doing head work rather than just dropping a new valve in.
We don't have much more logged on this one beyond the description and its place in the 441 engine lineup. If you're sourcing this for a rebuild, give us a call and we'll confirm it matches what's on your bike before you order.
