BSA Key, crankshaft pinion

Crankshaft pinion key that locks the timing-side pinion to the crankshaft so it can't spin independently.

PN · 41-0560

This is the crankshaft pinion key, a small piece of keystock that locks the timing pinion to the crankshaft so the two turn together without slipping. It shows up in the crankcase and cylinder/crankshaft figures for the engine bottom end, and the alias 41-560 is just the same part number written without the leading zero.
