BSA Screw, cam plate spring (2 British Association × 3/8")

A 2 BA x 3/8 inch screw that secures the cam plate spring in the gearchange mechanism.

PN · 40-3044

This is the small screw that holds the cam plate spring in place inside the gearchange mechanism. It's a 2 BA thread, 3/8 inch long, and it shows up across several gearbox and primary chaincase figures in the parts books, which tells you it's a common fastener used in more than one spot on the gear cluster and clutch cover assemblies.
