A #3 cutaway throttle slide for the Amal 389 Monobloc carburetor.
This is a throttle slide for the Amal 389 Monobloc carburetor, cut to a #3 cutaway. The slide is the part that rides up and down inside the carb body when you twist the throttle, controlling how much air gets pulled through at part-throttle openings. The cutaway number stamped on it (in this case #3) is what shapes the notch cut into the front edge of the slide, and that shape has a real effect on how the bike pulls off idle and through the lower half of the throttle range.
