Mixing chamber top
Amal carburetor mixing chamber top, the cap that holds the throttle slide and cable at the top of the carb body.
The mixing chamber top is the cap that sits on top of the carburetor body and holds the throttle slide and cable in place. On the Amal carburetors used on these bikes, it screws down over the top of the mixing chamber and is what the throttle cable passes through before it connects to the slide inside.

This one, part number 376/155, shows up in the Amal carburetor figures in our catalog spanning 1963-1964. If yours is cracked, stripped, or the threads are worn from years of the cable working against it, that is usually the reason to replace it rather than the slide itself.
