Shakeproof washer

A shakeproof washer used under fasteners in the headlamp/flasher and rear wheel assemblies.

PN · 37-2321

37-2321 is a shakeproof washer, the kind that goes under a nut or screw head to keep it from working loose from vibration. It shows up in our records under the headlamp and flasher lamp assembly and also on the rear wheel, so it's a small hardware piece doing fastener duty in more than one spot on the bike. The older alias for this part is W2321, for anyone working from an earlier parts book.

It's a basic piece of hardware rather than anything glamorous, but a missing shakeproof washer on an electrical fitting or a wheel fastener is the kind of thing that causes a light to rattle loose or a fitting to back out over time. If you're rebuilding either of these areas it's worth having a few of these on hand.
