Complete quickly-detachable rear wheel assembly, Triumph Q.D. type, part 37-1587 (alias W1587).
This is a complete quickly-detachable rear wheel assembly, listed in the catalog under the QUICKLY DETACHABLE REAR WHEEL figure. The Q.D. rear wheel was Triumph's answer to roadside tire changes back when a flat meant getting the whole wheel off in a hurry - the hub is built so the wheel comes out without disturbing the chain or brake, leaving the sprocket and brake drum on the bike.
