Brake lining

Brake lining for the drum brakes on the T20SS/T20SH front wheel and rear wheel, PN 37-1458 (also W1458).

PN · 37-1458

This is a brake lining, catalog number 37-1458, also carried under the older W1458 form. It shows up in the parts-book figures for the front wheel on the T20SS and T20SH, and separately in the rear wheel figure, so the same lining part was used at both ends on these machines.

A brake lining is the friction material that gets bonded or riveted to the brake shoe and does the actual work of slowing the wheel down when it contacts the drum. On these small-frame Triumphs the front and rear drum brakes both call for this lining according to the catalog entries we have.

Our records on this one are limited to those figure listings, so if you're matching this against a shoe you've pulled off the bike, it's worth double-checking the shoe dimensions against what you have in hand before you order.
