This is a wheel bearing for the Triumph sprung hub, the rear suspension unit used before Triumph moved to swinging-arm rear ends. The sprung hub packs a set of bearings inside the rear wheel hub shell to let it move against internal springs, giving some rear cushioning while keeping the look of a rigid frame. Part number 37-0897 is one of those bearings.
