BRAKE SWITCH BUTTON TYPE - Replaces 99-1028, 031621

Button-type Lucas-style rear brake light switch for the swinging arm brake linkage, PN 34815.

PN · 34815

This is the button-type brake light switch, Lucas style, that lives down at the rear brake linkage on the swinging arm. It's a plunger switch — the rear brake pedal or rod moves and the button gets pressed or released, which closes the circuit and lights the brake lamp. Our catalog lists it under 34815, with the older reference numbers 99-1028 and 031621 noted as the same part, and it also shows up under the alias 14377 in some listings.

It shows up in the parts book under the swinging arm section, which tells you it's tied into the rear brake linkage rather than the front brake lever switch. If you're replacing a tired or corroded switch that's stopped triggering the brake light reliably, this is the one that bolts into that spot.

Given how many old cross-references point to this same switch, it's worth double-checking which mounting style your bike actually uses before you order — some setups use a different switch body entirely. If you're not sure, give us a call and we'll sort out which one you need.
