Norton Brake Light Switch
Brake light switch for the front disc brake setup, PN 34619A.
This is a brake light switch, listed under PN 34619A. It shows up in the parts book alongside the disc brake master cylinder and hose group as well as the handlebar figure, which places it up at the front brake lever area on machines fitted with the front disc setup rather than the older drum and cable arrangement.

The job of this switch is straightforward: when the front brake lever gets pulled, it closes a circuit and lights the brake light at the back of the bike. On these early disc-brake front ends the switch is typically actuated right at the lever or master cylinder, which is why it turns up in that hose group figure rather than out at the rear brake.
