Owners running a 6 volt electrical system on a British bike will use this in the headlamp shell where the original bulb has burned out or gone dim. The catalog also lists this part under 48-66946, so if your parts book or an old invoice shows that number, it is the same bulb.
We don't have more detail on this one beyond the basic spec. If you're not sure whether your headlamp shell and wiring are set up for 6 volt or a different bulb base, call the shop and we'll confirm before you order.
