BULB,6V 1.5W INST.LIGHT
A 6-volt, 1.5-watt bulb used for instrument panel lighting, listed under 282 and later as 282L.
This is the small 6-volt, 1.5-watt bulb Lucas listed for instrument lighting on the electrical side of the bike. The catalog places it with the wiring harness and direct lighting setup, so it's one of the little bulbs that lights up the speedo or tach face rather than a headlamp or tail lamp bulb.

It shows up in our records under 282, with 282L as the later factory number for the same bulb, and WW13080L as another form of the same part. If your parts book lists any of those numbers, you're looking at the same item.
It's a small, inexpensive item worth keeping a spare of in a drawer, since a dead instrument bulb is easy to overlook until you're riding at night with a dark speedo face.
