BSA Bolt, bracket to frame (3/8" British Standard Cycle × 7/8")
A 3/8" BSC x 7/8" bolt used to fasten a bracket to the frame, appearing in oil tank, sidecover, and silencer catalog listings.
This is a bolt used to secure a bracket to the frame, sized 3/8 inch British Standard Cycle by 7/8 inch. It shows up in the catalog under the oil tank, sidecovers, and silencer figures, which points to it being one of the small fasteners holding those bits onto the frame rather than anything inside the engine.

The legacy number 24-649 is the same part as 24-0649 — just the older short-form part number before the shop switched to the five-digit style. If you're working from an older parts book you may see it listed that way.
BSC threads are the old British cycle standard, different pitch than BSF or UNF, so double check what you're pulling out before ordering a replacement — a look-alike bolt with the wrong thread pitch will just cross-thread and ruin the hole.
