HANGER PASSENGER FOOTREST (Replaces 83-3207 83-7602)
Passenger footrest hanger for Triumph, current replacement for the older 83-3207 and 83-7602 numbers.
This is the hanger that carries the passenger footrest, part number 21-7001. It's a Triumph frame fitting, and in the parts book it shows up under the MOTOR UNIT FITTINGS AND FOOTRESTS figure alongside the rest of the peg hardware. If your bike's parts book or an older invoice lists 83-3207 or 83-7602, this current number is what replaced both of those - same physical part, just renumbered by the factory over time.

As a hanger, its job is to give the passenger peg somewhere solid to bolt to off the frame or swingarm mount, so it takes the rider's weight and the vibration that comes with it. These see a lot of wear over the decades - bent tabs, stripped threads, rounded-off mounting holes - so it's a common one to replace outright rather than try to straighten.
Our catalog record ties this to appearances across the mid-to-late '70s Triumph range, but we'd want to confirm exact fitment against your bike before you order. If you're not sure which side or which generation of hanger you need, give us a call and we'll sort it out with you.
