Banjo bolt, petrol pipe to carburetter
The hollow banjo bolt that secures the fuel pipe union to the carburetter body on Amal-equipped machines.
This is the banjo bolt that fastens the fuel pipe fitting to the carburetter body. It's a small hollow bolt that lets petrol pass through its center while the bolt itself clamps the banjo union tight against the carb, sealed on either side by fibre or copper washers. It shows up across several carburetter figures in the parts books, so if your fuel line runs into the carb through a banjo fitting rather than a threaded nipple, this is the bolt holding that connection together.

Catalog records show this part appearing from 1969 through 1972 across a handful of carburetter listings, which tells you it was a common fitting on Amal carbs of that era rather than a one-off. The alternate number 622/078 is just the same physical bolt catalogued under a different reference.
If you're chasing a fuel leak at the carb inlet, check this bolt and its sealing washers before assuming the carb body itself is at fault - a banjo bolt that's not seated right or missing a washer will drip petrol right where the pipe meets the carburetter.
