Nut, brake pedal spindle, inner
A 3/8-24 UNF Cleveloc self-locking nut used across many Triumph assemblies, including the brake pedal spindle.
This is a 3/8-24 UNF Cleveloc self-locking nut, catalog number 14-1303, used widely across Triumph (and some BSA) models wherever a locking nut was called for on a stud or bolt of that thread. The catalog description calls it the brake pedal spindle inner nut, but you'll find this same part number turning up in dozens of other parts-book figures too — everything from footrests and handlebar mountings to swinging arm and steering head assemblies — because the Cleveloc design got used all over the bike.

The Cleveloc nut has a slightly ovalized collar at the top that bites into the threads for extra hold, which is why it shows up in fixtures that see vibration, like control levers, brake controls, and suspension mounts. It's a small, cheap-to-replace item worth keeping a few on hand since it turns up in so many different assemblies.
If you're chasing this part for a specific spot on the bike, check your parts book figure to confirm you've got the right fastener — this number appears in a lot of different figures across a long production run, so context matters more than the number alone.
