NUT,1/4 UNF STIFFNUT T TYPE (Replaces 15104/00/2)
A 1/4 UNF T-type stiffnut used throughout the bike wherever a self-locking fastener is called for.
This is a 1/4 UNF stiffnut, the T-type slim self-locking nut Triumph used all over the bike wherever a bolt needed to stay put without a lock washer underneath it. The catalog lists it as a straight replacement for the earlier 15104/00/2 part number, so if you're working from an older parts book and see that number, it's the same nut.

Because it's a generic fastener, it turns up across a huge range of areas on the bike - chaincase, exhaust brackets, oil tank, ignition and electrical mounts, swinging arm and suspension, handlebar controls, crankcase, oil pump and tappet covers, rear wheel, fenders, tail lamp, gas tank and seat mounts, air cleaners, headlamp, and speedometer brackets, among others. It's one of those nuts a shop keeps a stack of rather than one you go hunting for by application.
Given how many spots on the bike use this exact stiffnut, it's worth having a few on hand in the parts drawer so you're not stalled out mid-job waiting on one fastener.
