Air Control Lever

Handlebar-mounted right-hand air control lever for operating the carburetor air slide, Amal pattern.

PN · 12/608
Current factory number 12/608T — same part, sold under this listing.

This is the air control lever that mounts on the handlebar, the one that works the air slide in the carburetor from the rider's seat. It's a Amal-pattern lever, and it shows up in the parts books under HANDLEBAR AND CONTROL LEVERS across catalog entries running from the mid-60s into the mid-70s. The factory later renumbered this part 12/608T, so if you're working from an older parts book and see that number, it's the same lever.

The listing calls it out as a right-hand mount, so keep that in mind when you're ordering - it's not interchangeable side to side. Beyond that, our catalog record doesn't spell out length or finish, so if you need exact dimensions to match what's already on your bars, give us a call before you order.

These levers take a fair amount of thumb work over the years and the pivot and cable attachment points wear, so if yours is sloppy or the lever won't hold its position, it's worth swapping rather than fighting with it.
