Norton Plug, Welch or Sealing

A Welch/sealing plug for the chaincase area, PN 06-4727, listed against a 1975 appearance.

PN · 06-4727

This is a Welch plug, also called a sealing plug, that shows up in the chaincase area on the parts diagram covering the inner and outer chaincase along with the hydraulic tensioner. It is a small disc-type plug pressed into a machined hole to seal off an opening in the casting - the kind of thing you find on chaincases and other cast housings where a manufacturing or access hole needs closing off for good.

Our catalog record only shows this one appearing once, tied to 1975, so we don't have a lot of history on it beyond that single listing. It is a Norton part per our records, not a Triumph piece, so don't try to fit it to a Triumph chaincase.
