Norton Spring, Protection
A wire coil spring that wraps an oil line to protect it from chafing, as fitted to Norton Commando oil systems.
This is a protection spring for the oil lines on a Norton, part number 06-3367. It's a coil of wire that wraps around an oil line where it might rub against the frame or another fitting, keeping the hose from chafing through over time. It shows up in the parts book under the Oil Tank and Fittings section, alongside the oil lines and cartridge filter.

It's a small item but it does a real job — oil lines that run bare against metal edges or brackets can wear thin and eventually leak or split, and a chafe guard like this is cheap insurance against that kind of failure down the road.
