Norton Gearshift Stop Plate
A Norton gearbox stop plate from the outer cover assembly that limits the gearshift selector's range of travel.
This is a gearshift stop plate out of the gearbox outer cover assembly, as shown in the parts book. It's a Norton part, not a Triumph piece, so if you're sorting parts for a Triumph gearbox this one doesn't belong in that pile.

The stop plate works inside the gearbox to control the range of the gear selector mechanism, keeping the shift lever action within its proper limits. Our catalog record only ties this one to the outer cover figure and to appearances in 1971 to 1972 material, so beyond that we don't have more detail on this one.
If you're rebuilding a gearbox and need to confirm this is the right stop plate for your particular case, give us a call and we'll go over fitment before you order.
We've never carried this one. Tell us what you're after and we'll go looking — you'll get a price and photos before you commit to anything.
