Norton Nut, twinseat bracket (1/4" British Standard Cycle)

1/4 inch BSC nut for the twinseat mounting bracket.

PN · 02-0051

This is a nut off the twinseat bracket, 1/4 inch British Standard Cycle thread. It shows up in the catalog under the PETROL TANK, TWINSEAT AND CONTROLS figure, which puts it in the hardware that ties the seat mounting down near the tank area.

BSC thread nuts like this one are a different animal from the UNF and Whitworth hardware you'll find elsewhere on these bikes, so don't grab a generic 1/4 inch nut off the shelf and expect it to thread on. If you're rebuilding the seat mounting hardware it's worth having a few of these on hand since they're easy to lose track of when the bike's apart.

Our catalog record ties this to appearances from 1969 to 1970. If your parts book lists it under a different number, give us a call and we'll sort out which one you need.
