BSA Decoke gasket set
A decoke gasket set covering the cylinder head and exhaust pipe joints disturbed during a top-end strip.
Part number 00-3171 is a decoke gasket set, the kind of thing Ed pulls out when a customer is doing a top-end strip to clean carbon out of the head and check valve seats without a full rebuild. It shows up in the catalog under the cylinder head and exhaust pipe figures, which tells you it bundles the gaskets you need to break the joints between the head, barrel, and exhaust system when you pull things apart for a decoke.

A decoke job used to be routine maintenance on these older engines, and having the right gaskets on hand means you're not stuck reusing old ones or waiting on a single gasket to show up before you can button things back up. This set covers the joints that get disturbed during that job.
Our catalog record on this one is thin - it appears in two entries spanning 1969 to 1970 - so if you've got a specific machine in mind, give us a call and we'll confirm it lines up with your head and exhaust setup before you order.
