Carburetter body
Amal carburetter body, the main casting for one side of a twin-carb setup - identified elsewhere as the right-hand 928-series body.
R928/005 is a carburetter body, the main casting of an Amal carb that everything else on the instrument bolts to or slides into - slide, jet block, float chamber, and the mixing chamber itself all live in or attach to this piece. It's the part that gets stamped with the carb's identification number, so when a carb is beyond rebuilding or the body's worn out at the slide bore, this is what you're replacing.

Our records show this one appearing in the carburetter figures across catalog entries from 1970 to 1972. Other catalog listings tie this specific number to a right-hand carb body in the 928 series, so if you're running a twin-carb setup, make sure you're ordering the correct side to match its mate.
If you're rebuilding rather than replacing, keep in mind the body is only one part of the puzzle - slide, needle, jets and float assembly all need to be sorted separately, and worth checking those against what's currently fitted before you order.
