Norton Rocker Spindle Retaining Plate
A retaining plate that locates the rocker spindles in the cylinder head.
NMT2239 is a rocker spindle retaining plate, a small fixed plate that keeps the rocker spindles located in the cylinder head so they can't work their way sideways or out of position under running load. It shows up in the catalog under the Cylinder, Cylinder Head and Fittings section, right alongside the valve gear parts, which tells you it lives up top on the head where the rockers pivot.
