TANK CENTER RUBBER 1973-82
Rubber cushion that sits at the center mounting point between the gas tank and frame.
This is the tank center rubber, part number 83-4934, also known under the older WW27407 designation. It sits under the gas tank at the center mounting point, cushioning the tank where it rests on the frame's top mounting bracket. Rubber like this keeps the tank from sitting metal-to-metal on the frame, which cuts down on vibration wear and chafing at that contact point.

It shows up in the parts books under the GAS TANKS AND TWINSEAT figure, and our catalog listings for it run from 1973 into the later 1970s. If the rubber under your tank has gone flat, cracked, or gummy with age, it's worth pulling the tank and having a look — a tired mounting rubber lets the tank shift around more than it should.
Worth keeping on hand as a small item to swap out whenever the tank's off for other work, since it's easy to miss until you're already under there.
