BATTERY TRAY STRAP FRONT
Front strap that secures the battery down onto its carrier tray on Triumph twins, PN 82-9255 (formerly F9255).
This is the front strap for the battery tray/carrier, part number 82-9255, also known under the earlier F9255 designation. It shows up in the parts book under the oil tank figures, since the battery tray sits right alongside the oil tank on these machines and shares mounting hardware in that same corner of the frame.

The strap holds the front edge of the battery down against the carrier so it doesn't bounce around or shift under vibration. It's a simple piece of hardware, but it's one of those small parts that's easy to lose track of when a bike's been apart for a while, and a tired or rusted-out strap will let the battery move when it shouldn't.
Our catalog record ties this part to Triumph twins across catalog years 1968 through 1974. If you're not sure which battery tray your bike carries, bring in the numbers off your parts book or give us a call before you order.
