Circlip, vent pipe
A small circlip that retains the vent pipe in the battery carrier and air filter assembly.
This is the circlip that secures the vent pipe under the battery carrier and air filter setup on Triumphs covered by these catalog entries. It's a small retaining ring, nothing glamorous, but if it's missing or sprung the vent pipe can work loose or drop out from where it's seated.

The catalog carries this under 82-7892, with F7892 as the older-style part number for the same physical piece. It shows up across the battery/toolkit/air filter area of the parts books, so when you're servicing that section it's worth checking this clip is still doing its job and not rusted through or distorted.
It's a cheap thing to overlook until it's gone, and then the vent pipe migrates somewhere it shouldn't. If you're already in there working on the battery carrier or air filter, take a look at this circlip while you've got things apart.
