Battery vent pipe
Battery vent pipe, PN 82-7431 (also F7431), routes gas away from the battery box.
This is the battery vent pipe, part number 82-7431, also catalogued under the older F7431 number. It shows up across the battery carrier and air filter figures in our books, which puts it right where you'd expect - running off the top of the battery to route gas away from the box rather than letting it collect around the electrics.

It's a simple part but not one to skip if yours is missing or perished. Lead-acid batteries vent corrosive fumes as they charge, and this pipe gives that gas somewhere to go besides the inside of your toolbox or side cover.
Our catalog data ties this to Triumph machines across a run of years in the late '60s and early '70s, showing up under battery carrier, air filter, and side cover figures repeatedly. If you're not sure which battery box and carrier combination you're running, give us a call before ordering so we can confirm it's the right pipe for your setup.
