This is the seat catch plunger with knob, part number 82-7560, the small spring-loaded piece that lets the twinseat pop free from its hinge point so it can be lifted off the frame. It shows up across a long run of Triumph parts books, from the PANELS AND TWINSEAT and GAS TANK AND TWINSEAT figures through the later TWIN SEAT and TWINSEAT listings, spanning catalog years 1967 to 1985. The older legacy number for this same part is F7560, so if your parts book lists that instead, you're looking at the same piece.

The knob end is what you grab to release the seat catch, and the plunger underneath is what actually engages the seat latch mechanism to hold the seat down when it's seated properly. Because it's a small mechanical part that sees regular hand contact and outdoor exposure, it's a common one to wear out, seize up, or go missing entirely off older seats.

We don't have anything in our records tying this to one specific model year or model, just that it appears across a long span of twinseat figures, so if you're chasing exact fitment for your bike, give us a call and we'll confirm before you order.
