Knob

Seat catch release knob for the twinseat, also known by the earlier part numbers 82-4227 and F6659.

PN · 82-6659

This is the seat catch knob, part number 82-6659, listed in the panels and twinseat section of the parts book. It shows up under the earlier alias numbers 82-4227 and F6659 as well, so if your parts book or an old invoice lists one of those, it's the same physical piece.

The knob is what you grip to release the seat catch so the twinseat can be lifted off. It's a small, simple fitting, but it takes a fair bit of handling every time the seat comes off for maintenance or to get at the tool tray, so it's worth having a spare if the one on the bike is cracked, worn, or missing its plating.

We don't have a lot more written down on this one beyond the figure it appears in. Give us a call if you want to confirm it matches what's on your seat catch before you order.
