Switch lever
A small brake rod clip used in the rear brake light switch linkage on the swinging arm/suspension assembly.
82-5687 shows up in the parts books under the swinging arm and rear suspension figures, and the grounding we have on it points to it being a brake rod clip rather than a switch lever proper - it's one of the small pieces that make up the rear brake light switch hookup at the back of the bike. The catalog calls it a switch lever, but the cross-reference material we've found ties this number to the clip that holds the brake rod spring in place for the rear brake light switch.

It's a small hardware item, not something you'd order on its own most of the time - it travels with a nut, a screw, a washer, and a spring as part of the linkage that trips the rear brake light when you step on the pedal. If you're chasing down a rear brake light that won't switch on or off cleanly, this clip is one of the usual suspects along with the spring and the rod itself.
The older alias for this one is F5687, so if you're working from an early parts book that's the number you'll find printed there instead of 82-5687.
